 George's Gear:

"One Thing I can honestly tell you about George, He is a man who is always in search of perfect tone.  He is a True Blues Man by every sense of the word.  George is very well known as the perfect Rhythm Guitarist of MTB.  But, what most folks don't know is how accomplished a lead player he is.  George, is very humble and secure in any role.  A true professional..." Here’ the gear I like to use:

Acoustic Guitars:  My main acoustic is a Copley CAG-7N. It has stock Copley electronics plus tuner built in. The Copley was set up by Gregg at Classic Ax in Nashville, TN. I use my Martin D-37(1979) and my Guild F-50 (1972) in the studio from time to time.

Electrics: I play a Copley Custom made for me(335 style) with an orange flame tope that’s very cool. I still play my 1977 Black Les Paul and a Fender Stratocaster that has been totally reworked. The Strat is a ’62 body with an after market neck(rosewood) with EMG active pickups. All the work done on my electronics was done by Gregg at Classic Ax in Nashville, TN.   I also play a couple of my Signature Series Copley guitars named "Honey".  Click here to find out more about "Honey".

Amps: My main amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a single 12 inch Fender speaker. This amp, like the rest of my amps, was worked over by Marc Ferguson at Furg’s Amp Repair in Nashville, TN. He told me it would be sound like an old Fender Bassman on steroids, and was he ever right!

Effects: I don’t use a lot of effects but when I do, I use a Boss Compressor pedal, a Cry Baby Wah Wah and an Ernie Ball Volume Pedal. I have a Digitec RP-200 that I like and use from time to time. I use a Boss tuner pedal!
